My first venture in to the online world was with an affiliate website. It was not an Amazon affiliate website (I wish it had of been), but even though my progress was not as fast as I would have hoped I did learn a lot about setting up a well structured website, content marketing, and affiliate marketing.
Eventually I mastered my skills and now have around 10 affiliate websites that earn my living. The money from these affiliate websites also allow me to explore new ventures online, which include an ECommerce brand, my online course, my blog, and also software/app that I am developing with a developer partner (because I am not a developer).
All of this came about because I made the leap of faith and got started. It gave me confidence that I could make money online and also gave me the mindset of not being afraid of failure. It is always better to give things a go otherwise you never know what might have happened.
Finally I just want to mention that getting involved with other like minded people really helped me. It gave me motivation, encouragement, and advice that really pushed me on to explore and be creative with my online businesses. I’ll chat about this and the importance of a community/mentorship later.
